Welcome to the Greater Moncton Planning District Commission (or GMPDC for short) website.

Hopefully this website will be a valuable source of information for our clients. The District includes the cities of Dieppe and Moncton, the town of Riverview, the villages of Alma, Hillsborough, Petitcodiac, Riverside-Albert and Salisbury as well as the unincorporated area of Albert County and part of Westmorland County.

The Planning Commission assists in the shaping of the future of our region by planning for economic growth, a healthy environment and an improved quality of life. The Planning Commission assists other levels of government to establish a framework for the District’s development through the creation, administration and review of zoning by-laws and development plans. This occurs through a community development process which encourages the active participation of the public which the GMPDC serves.

It is our hope that this website serves not only as a window into our services, highlighting the activities of the GMPDC but also serves as a reference for information related to the District’s community planning.
