Village of Alma

Located beside Fundy National Park on the Bay of Fundy, the Village of Alma offers a wide variety of outdoor activities to its 301 year-round residents and thousands of visitors, both in summer and winter.  There are opportunities for sea kayaking, swimming, hiking, mountain biking, bird watching, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing.  The world’s highest tides give villagers and visitors the chance to walk on the ocean floor at low tide.

The Village of Alma is both a fishing community (lobster and scallop) and a tourism destination.  In terms of building activity over the last ten years, Alma has had a stable growth rate of about two new lots per year.  The exception to this was in the year 2000 when eight new lots were created.

The Greater Moncton Planning District Commission is pleased to have the Village of Alma as a member municipality.
