 The City of Moncton is located on the Petitcodiac River next to Riverview and Dieppe. Moncton’s population is constantly growing and today includes over 64,128 citizens. The city places a high importance on active living and encourages the use of public transit, trails and active transportation routes. Citizens have access to linear parks, greenway trails, bike racks on transit buses and reserved bike lanes. The main economic sectors in the City of Moncton are the service industry, health and education, and wholesale and retail trade. Over the last ten years, building activity in Moncton has increased at a steady rate, reaching a high of 607 new lots in 2006.
