Located along the Shepody River, which flows into Shepody Bay at the upper reaches of the Bay of Fundy, the Village of Riverside-Albert has a population of 320.  In 2005 the Riverside-Consolidated School celebrated its 100th anniversary.  The school is New Brunswick’s oldest consolidated school still in continuous use.  Residents of Riverside-Albert have access to two beautiful hiking trails in the village – a 20 km stretch of the Trans Canada Trail, which runs along a marsh and the Crooked Creek Trail, which ends at the Crooked Creek Lookout.

The main economic sectors in the Village of Riverside-Albert are manufacturing and construction, health and education, and the service industry.  In terms of building activity over the last ten years,  one or two lots have been created in the village per year. 

The Greater Moncton Planning District Commission is pleased to have the Village of Riverside-Albert as a member municipality.
